We have all thought about what we would do if we won the lottery. Pay off bills. Buy a boat or an expensive car. Go on a luxurious vacation. Buy a house on the beach. The list is endless…
But what would I do if I won the lottery?
To be honest, I probably wouldn’t go buy expensive cars, jewelry or buy a bunch of things I didn’t really need. Instead, I would give some to my parents to help them retire (and as a “hey, thanks for raising me”), I would give some to my brother so he can start his life, I would give some to my little cousins so they can pay off college and start a life, and even my nieces-NOT-in-law so they can go to college some day…
Then, with what’s left over, I would pay off my house, and any other debt, make some home improvements, buy some rental properties to generate recurring income, and then invest the rest for retirement.
To me, living a happy and healthy life, and helping those whom I love are much more important than whatever money can buy.
It’s the little things in life that matter.
Okay. Fine. And maybe a Nissan Z and a European cruise.
